ABOUT

Hello, I'm Faith Babirye, the founder of GIFTED N BLK. Growing up in Slough and recently moving to Windsor, I noticed a gap in the celebration of diverse cultures, particularly Black culture, in our community. My passion for diversity and inclusion has been a driving force in my life, and it’s something I’ve consistently advocated for in my day job. In the past, I’ve organized events to celebrate Black History Month and cultural diversity, but I felt the need to do more.

GIFTED N BLK was born from my desire to create a space where we can celebrate all things Black—through music, food, arts, and culture. This event is designed to bring our community together, especially those who may feel isolated or disconnected from society. If you’ve ever felt like an outsider in spaces where people don’t look like you, this event is for you.

My hope is that GIFTED N BLK will be more than just a one-off event. I envision it growing into a vibrant community that supports and promotes Black-owned businesses and those from other ethnic minorities in the area. Together, we can celebrate our rich cultures, uplift each other, and create a lasting impact.

In addition to celebrating our community, this event will also support a great cause. All funds raised will be donated to Show Racism the Red Card, a charity dedicated to tackling racism through education.
